I really like this one because the puzzle image looks like it is from viewpoints above and below simultaneously. Also, broken images are fun to look at because it forces you to take a closer look to be sure no detail was missed. The angles and different viewpoints remind me of MC Escher.
yeah, now that you say that there is escher-like quality to it. I always like playing with spacial relationships. Making things seem like they are and aren't at the same time.
also: contrast, comparisons, and relationships. things defined by their relationship to other things.
the broken image thing was part of the original idea of cubism, breaking things down into their component parts and re-assembling them. makes you compare the new image to the old image and forces you to re-see the old image.
one of the reason I like learning other languages is that it helps one relearn his own in the process.
A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
